Allison Wexler grew up in New Jersey and earned her undergraduate degree in film and television production from Syracuse University. After working in the film industry for several years in Chicago, she decided to go back to school and earn a Master's degree in early childhood education at the University of Illinois at Chicago. It was in Chicago that she met her husband, Michael, who was in dental school. They finished graduate/dental school, got married and moved to Tucson all in one month back in 1998. Allison worked as a preschool teacher in the Tucson Unified School District until the birth of her first daughter, Lily. Today, Allison is the busy mom of 3 daughters, Lily, 9, Bella, 7, Sage, 2. Allison serves on the board of directors of the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona, is the chair of the Young Leadership Cabinet. In addition to being an active volunteer in the Jewish community, Allison is also an adoption counselor for Pima Animal Care Center and Animal Rescue Foundation. |
