      Jeff Kaufman was born in Paterson, New Jersey and grew up in Spring Valley, New York.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Virginia and his MBA from the University of Georgia.  Jeff then spent most of the next 25 years in Southern California interspersed with four years in Palm Springs, California and another four years in Park City, Utah.  Jeff has lived in Vail, Arizona for the last five years with his wife of 24 years, Adriana, and their three daughters – Maggie, 18, Jessica, 16, and Christina, 12.  Jeff has spent the majority of his career in the high-tech industry where he has held positions from Director of Product Development for internet security and financial security network firms to being the Chief Financial Officer for a $25 million corporation.  Jeff spent several years working closely with many companies, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Netscape, Microsoft and IBM in creating and implementing internet security standards that are still state-of-the-art today.  Jeff also has significant project management experience having successfully managed the development and implementation of a multi-million dollar security clearance tracking system as well as building a $12 million asphalt storage and distribution facility in Coolidge, AZ.  Jeff is currently deeply involved in the solar energy industry in southern Arizona, where he has served as a solar technology and financing consultant for solar integrators and for Federal and state government initiatives.  Jeff is a working member of the Southern Arizona Regional Solar Partnership (SARSP) and an active contributor to the Southern Arizona Solar Standards Board (SASSB).  Jeff has participated in solar initiatives with the USDA and the Pima Association of Governments.  In addition, Jeff serves as a mentor and advisor to many entrepreneurial start-up companies as part of the Arizona Center for Innovation, a business incubator run by the University of Arizona at the U of A Tech Park.  In Temple life, Jeff has served on Boards of Directors and Executive Committees at previous synagogues where he and his family have belonged.  Jeff has also been employed as an Executive Director at two synagogues.  At Temple Emanu-El, Jeff is currently the chairman of the Dues Committee, the new Yozma Committee, and the revitalized Second Century Legacy Fund Committee as well as serving on the Finance Committee.
