Avanim Rock Band

The Avanim Rock Band is what make Shabbat Rocks! Services really rock! Under the direction of Rabbi Sam Cohon and guitarist Steve Schulman, the Avanim Rock Band bring the free-wheeling style and energy of classic rock music to timeless Shabbat melodies. Avanim makes Shabbat Rocks! services engaging and  fun for congregants of all ages, from the  youngest toddlers to their bubbies and zaydes as well.

You can hear Avanim at 6:30 pm Shabbat Rocks! Family Services,  usually the second Shabbat of the month during the academic year.

Avanim band members are Rabbi Sam Cohon, Daniel Millstone, Joe Millstone, Howard Salmon and Scott Zorn with special appearances by Gary Love. The band's CD,   Avanim: A Rock Shabbat is available through the Temple office for a $10 donation to the Temple music fund.
