Family Programs

Temple Emanu-El offers a variety of worship formats, programming and holiday experiences for families.  Family programs are appropriate for a variety of ages in a welcoming and warm environment.

Shabbat Rocks!

Shabbat Rocks! is our monthly family Shabbat Evening Service.  Led by Rabbi Samuel M. Cohon with the help of our Temple Emanu-El Youth Choir and Avanim Band, Shabbat Rocks! is a fun and interactive service.  Each month a different class from the Kurn Religious School participates in the service with a special presentation based on their thematic units.

Shabbat No'ar

Our youth-led monthly Shabbat morning service begins with a family breakfast.  Students of all ages help lead the service with special readings, Hebrew prayers and post-B'nai Mitzvah Torah readers.

Family Holiday Programs

Holidays offer a unique opportunity for families to learn and have Jewish experiences together.  Our family programs include:

• Rosh Hashanah Family Workshop
• Tu B'Shevat Morning of Learning
• Passover Model Seder and Matza Making
