TEMPLE EMANU-EL A Reform Jewish Community for all of Tucson |
When you join Temple Emanu-El's chapter of WRJ, you become part of a national and international network of 100,000 women in 14 countries who work to create a stronger worldwide Jewish community. You become a partner in the work of Reform Judaism and its institutions, including the Union for Reform Judaism and ARZA -- as well as an advocate of women's and children's rights, and a supporter of endangered Jewish communities. You take a stand on critical domestic and international issues.
WRJ Sisterhood of Temple Emanu-El, an affiliate of Women of Reform Judaism, shall provide for a community of women to foster friendships, spirituality, learning, celebrating Judaism, and support for the children in the Kurn Religious School and our congregation.
The Women of Reform Judaism (WRJ) and the Covenant Book Committee, have selected a submission from Carol Blatter for inclusion in the new Covenant of the Generations publication which will be unveiled at the Fried Leadership Conference in Cincinnati, OH, January 25-27, 2013. This will coincide with the kick off of WRJ's Centennial year which makes Carol's poem even more historical. With over 340 submissions Carol's writing was one of the many outstanding submissions.
Please join me in congratulating Carol. To read Carol's poem "Shalom Haver" click here.
