| Description: | Come join us as we will study blessings and gratitude as a community. Together we will meet 9 AM for Tefillah, worship, followed by learning for both adults and children that will focus on blessing and gratitude. Each adult learning session is stand-alone and you may attend all or some. The mission of the Global Day is to bring the Jewish people of all ages and denominations to come together once a year to celebrate our foundational Jewish texts through community based learning. In the spirit of Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz's call, "Let my people know," this year's Global Day will focus upon Jewish concepts of blessing and gratitude. Lunch will be served at 12:00PM; the cost is $8 per adult/$5 per child 12 and under 9:30 am - 10:40 am: Is There a Recipe for Prayer? A Lesson in Picking the Perfect Words with Rabbi Samuel M. Cohon 10:45 am - 11:55 am: Blessing the Bad: How do We Relate to Bad Things? with Rabbi Jason Holtz 12:30 pm - 1:45 pm: Finding God, Finding Gratitude: How to Appreciate our Everyday Lives with Chava Gal-Or RSVP preferred for classes and required for lunches and may be made online or by calling the Temple office at (520) 327-4501. |
