 Purim Extravaganza & Carnival 5775

 Don't miss the soon-to-be-announced show Sunday, March 8th at 10:00 am at this year's Purim Extravaganza and Carnival. Rabbi Samuel M. Cohon, Rabbi Batsheva Appel, Cantorial Soloist Marjorie Hochberg, and many volunteers will sing the story of Esther, Mordechai, King Ahashverosh and Haman as the story has never been sung before. The best Purim Carnival yet will follow immediately after.

Early Purchase Wristbands - good for unlimited rides and games - $15.00 each, 2 for $25, 3 for $30

Early Purchase Tickets - 4 for $1.00

Food costs between 2 and 10 tickets.

Prices go up the day of the carnival, so order your wristbands and tickets now, and we'll have them for you at the door!

Join us for our Purim Pizza Party and Traditional Megillah Reading

on Erev Purim

5:45 pm Purim Pizza Party & Costume Contest

As fantastic as any parody of Purim is the real thing! Saturday, March 4th is the event itself: the Temple's Purim Pizza Party, Costume Contest and Megillah reading. We begin the evening at 5:45 pm with a Temple tradition - Pizza party and costume contest (all kids in costumes receive prizes). At 6:30 pm, with the help of myriads of Hebrew School chanters, Rabbi Samuel M. Cohon, Rabbi Batsheva Appel and Cantorial Soloist Marjorie Hochberg chant and read the whole Megillah.

$5 per adult, $2 per child ages 5-12, children 4 and under free!

Purim

Purim is celebrated by the reading of the Scroll of Esther, known in Hebrew as the Megillat Esther, which relates the basic story of Purim. Under the rule of King Ahashuerus, Haman, the King's prime minister, plots to exterminate all of the Jews of Persia.…
