There may be no better way to connect to the spiritual essence of Judaism than through song. Young people in grades 3-7 who sing in the Temple Emanu-El Youth Choir under the direction of Rabbi Samuel M. Cohon experience the joy of singing, learn more about Shabbat and Jewish festivals and have many opportunities to perform all year long. Singing with the Temple Emanu-El Youth Choir is offered as a chug (club or activity) option for 3-7th graders through the Kurn Religious School. Choir members rehearse on Sunday mornings during Religious School from 11:20 am until noon. The Youth Choir performs at every Shabbat Rocks! family service, at the Greatest Hanukkah on Earth!, the Purim Extravaganza and at special events and concerts in Tucson and elsewhere in the state of Arizona.
